About PSS

PSS Distributors supplies all products from its head office in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. With more than 2000m² office and warehouse space, the company is one of the largest UPS stockholding companies in South Africa.

Nationwide deliveries are made in several areas, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, East London, Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein.

Aftersales services offered by the company include: servicing UPS’s and inverters, preventative maintenance contracts, battery replacements, moving of UPS and inverter units, rigging of units, commissioning, installation and various other services.

All technical staff members are trained to work with all brands of UPS and inverter equipment.

Our History

Power System Services was established in May 1994. Initially, the company’s main focus was servicing and repairing UPS’s, but in 1998, the company manufactured its first uninterruptible power supply. The unit was tested on various applications and found to be successful. As a result, the Maxi Series UPS was born.

Power System Services partnered with an overseas supplier that is one of the largest UPS distributors in the world today. In 2000, the company changed its name to PSS Distributors and a network of branches was set up across Southern Africa to establish a strong infrastructure. In 2001, PSS Distributors opened a branch in Sydney, Australia, which has since developed into a series of outlets across the Australian continent.

Superiority, quality, experience and a well-trained team have always been the driving forces behind PSS Distributors, and will remain so in future. The company’s research and development department is continuously updating products to ensure that the world is offered the latest and best models.
